Preserving Your Wedding.
There's only one chance to do this, and it can be both intimidating and overwhelming to find the person you trust to do that. Because after all of the excitement of the day, your photos are what preserve it for the rest of your years. It's so important to find someone you click with and enjoy their style of artwork. This is why I meet couples either at my studio or a coffee shop. Face to face, we lay out clear expectations and create a game plan to tackle all the things you truly care about.
I believe it's important we have experience working together before a wedding, so I require every couple to have an engagement session. My top two packages include a complimentary engagement session - book and pay for your engagement session and then that session price gets counted toward the total of your wedding collection. The hands on experience allows me to learn your quirks; what gets you to loosen up, what type of angles of yourself you like, and help ease any nerves you may have about being in front of the camera.
The engagement session will be planned around YOU and the colors you'd like to have incorporated into your wedding. It's always fun to do a little theme or adventure for this and make it feel like a romantic date. I've had picnics, hiking (with dogs, too!), restaurant date, beach with wine, and motorcycle rides. And I'm happy to use knowledge of past shoots to help shape yours, or to put our creative brains to the test and create something fresh and unique to you.

OUR PROCESS
Step 1
Meet in person to make sure we're a good fit. I'll take notes, ask questions, and offer insight on options. From that, we'll create an agreement and sign a contract.
At the end of the meeting, you'll pay a retainer to reserve your date.
Step 2
Engagement photoshoot.
Second payment installment. Remaining balance is due 1 week before the wedding date.
Step 3
Wedding day! I'll arrive at the agreed upon time and capture all the cute little moments... and the big ones! I'll check in with you before leaving for the night.
Step 4
The final step is culling and editing your photos. I'll send a sneak peek of your big day within 48 hours of the ceremony. The full edited gallery will be sent within six weeks of the wedding date.
The Sage Imagery Approach
Every photographer is different, so it's important to understand what you'd be getting with choosing me; both my strengths and weaknesses as a wedding photographer. I'd rather be transparent and upfront here.
We'll list the cons first:
- I do not offer wedding galleries of 1000+ images. This helps me keep quality control, storage of all your beautiful photos, and is less intimidating if you want to order prints - you won't have to stare at 10 versions of the same photo trying to choose between them. Expect closer to 300-500 photos with me.
- I am soft spoken. If you need someone that leads the whole event and keeps everyone in line, and expect that to be your photographer, I am not your girl.
But don't worry, I come with pros, too!
- Excitable and passionate. If you need someone to hype you up in the moment, I am here for it!
- Creative eye. I'll prepare a list of poses ahead of time, but also end up relying on my creative vision to help piece together unique poses for portraits and detail shots.
- Able to adapt to chaos of a wedding day with a very "go with the flow" mentality. This doesn't knock me off my groove as I thrive in spontaneous moments.
- I'm not just a wedding photographer. I specialize in both family photography, having a few tricks for getting smiling, attentive photos of the kiddos on your big day, and boudoir photography, where you'll have the advantage of guidance for flattering posing so you can be looking your best!
- I only take on a small handful of weddings per year to ensure my turnaround time never goes over six weeks.
- If you lose your wedding photos down the line, so long as my business stands, I will have them. Please note that while that is my intention, hard drive failures are out of my control. But I never intentionally delete wedding galleries. Ever.
- I work well with others! If you hire a videographer, wedding coordinator, or need me to bring a second shooter I work well around them and with them to make sure we do the best for your wedding day.
